QSI International School of Belize strives to provide a safe, orderly, and healthy environment for learning. To do so, we have established and implemented effective procedural guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
QSI International School of Belize is a closed campus. Once on campus, students are not permitted to leave without parental permission and office approval before the end of the school day. Parents are required to contact the office if their child is to leave early or if there are any changes regarding their normal pick-up.
The school has a security guard on duty at all times, as well as security features such as perimeter fencing, security lighting, and cameras all over campus.
Parents/Drivers may choose to park their car and escort the student(s) directly to the main door or they may drop students off at the front entrance where they will be greeted by the guard on duty. If a parent/driver drives up to the entrance, the car may only stop long enough to allow the student(s) to exit the vehicle. After students have safely left the vehicle, the car must immediately exit the campus to allow the traffic to continue to flow.
After being dropped off, students wait in a line along the perimeter fencing, 6 feet apart, to wash their hands. After the student's hands are washed, their temperatures are taken before they are able to enter the campus.
The school day ends at 3:00. Students leave one by one as their parents arrive. Parents will pick up their children at the front of the school. If there are any changes in pick-up, parents are to call and inform the office, or send a note with the child. If the office was not informed in advance, a phone call will be made to the parents while the child waits in the office.
Pick-Up from After School Activities
At the end of After-school activities, parents are asked pick up their children on time. If students have not been picked up on time, a phone call to the parents will be made and the student will wait in the office.
